Max found the perfect ring at
Riordan Studio and asked Kelli to marry him under the stars on her family's property in rural Oklahoma. They had a classic and intimate ceremony at the Lincoln Park Conservatory in Chicago with Max's dad as the officiant, (he was ordained on the internet) along with Max's brother as the best man, and Kelli's friend Kenny was her man of honor. After exchanging hand written vows, their friend Laura played and sang Cat Power's "Sea of Love", a song Max had sung to Kelli on their first Valentine's Day together. Afterward, they had a reception at The Bristol, a farm-to-table restaurant in Wicker Park.
